My First Raycast Extension: PulseMCP
I'm thrilled to announce that my first Raycast extension has been published to the Raycast Store! 🎉
PulseMCP lets you search and discover MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers directly from Raycast, powered by the PulseMCP registry.
What is MCP?
The Model Context Protocol is an open standard that enables AI assistants to connect with external tools and data sources. Think of MCP servers as plugins that give AI models superpowers—access to databases, APIs, file systems, and more.
With the MCP ecosystem growing rapidly, finding the right server for your needs can be challenging. That's where PulseMCP comes in.
What the Extension Does
With a quick ⌘ + Space and a search, you can:
- Search MCP Servers — Find servers by name, description, or functionality
- Sort Results — Order by GitHub stars, downloads, or name
- View Server Details — See stats, connection options, transport types, and AI-generated descriptions
- Quick Actions — Open homepages, view source code, access setup guides, copy server names
- Transport Tags — Instantly see if servers support SSE, stdio, or other transports
All powered by real-time data from the PulseMCP API.

Building this extension was an incredible learning experience and I had a lot of fun doing it. Another extension is already ready and working locally, but I'm waiting for approval from the company it's associated with before publishing it. Stay tuned.
